ফরিদা জামান শিল্পী। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের চারুকলা অনুষদের ড্রয়িং ও পেইন্টিং বিভাগের অধ্যাপক। শিক্ষাদীক্ষা ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের চারুকলা অনুষদ, ভারতের বরোদা ও শান্তিনিকেতনের বিশ্বভারতীতে। দেশে ও বিদেশে তাঁর শিল্পকর্মের অসংখ্য একক ও যৌথ প্রদর্শনী হয়েছে। ২০০৮ সালে বেইজিং অলিম্পিকে সেরা শিল্পী হিসেবে স্বর্ণপদকসহ নানা পুরস্কারে ভূষিতা। বাংলা একাডেমি থেকে প্রকাশিত তাঁর গ্রন্থ আধুনিক চিত্রকলায় লোকশিল্পকলার প্রভাব (১৯৯৮)।

Farida Zamanis an artist. She is a Professor at the Department of Drawing and Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. She received her academic training at Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, in Boroda and Visva Bharati. Santiniketon, India. Her works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She received several awards including the gold medal as an outstanding artist in 2008 Beijing Olympic. Her book Adhuinik Chitrakalai Lokoshilpokalar probhab (1998) is published by the Bangla Academy.
