শিবাজী বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় প্রাবন্ধিক, কবি, সাহিত্য-সমালোচক। যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং সেন্টার ফর স্টাডিজ ইন সোশ্যাল সায়েন্স এ অধ্যাপনা করেছেন। বাংলা জর্নাল-এর সম্পাদনা পর্ষদের সভ্য। সাহিত্যে অবদানের জন্য বিদ্যাগরসহ নানা পুরস্কারে ভূষিত। প্রকাশিত একাধিক গ্রন্থের মধ্যে রয়েছে গোপাল-রাখাল দ্বন্দ্বসমাস: উপনিবেশবাদ ও বাংলা শিশু সাহিত্য (১৯৯১); দেশের খোঁজে রবীন্দ্রনাথ (২০২৩)।

Shivaji Banerjee is an essayist, poet, literary critic. Taught at Jadavpur University and Center for Studies in Social Sciences. Member of the Editorial Board of Bangla Journal. Awarded various awards including Vidyagara for his contribution to literature. His published books include Gopal-Rakhal Dungalsamas: Colonialism and Bengali Children's Literature (1991); Rabindranath in search of country (2023).
