Fakrul Alam is a writer, translator and a literary critic. He was a Professor of English at Dhaka University. He received Bangla Academy and SAARC Literature awards for his works. His publications include Bharati Mukherjee (1995); Gitabitan: Selected Song-Lyrics of Rabindranath Tagore (2023).
