V. Ramaswamy lives in Kolkata. He has been engaged in translating works of Subimal Misra for a long time. He was a recipient of the Literature Across Frontiers fellowship in 2016. His publications include The Golden Gandhi Statue from America ( 2010) ; Wild Animals Prohibited (2015).
